Have you ever faced the twitch black screen? I know how annoying it is, especially when it is the time for your favorite streamer to go live and you can’t join everyone. Well, you must be looking for a solution to get rid of this problem once and for all.

Twitch Back screen fixing involves multiple methods. It mainly depends on the causes of the problem, but possible solutions include configuring DNS settings, clearing cookies and cache. Sometimes disabling all the extensions that you have installed on your internet browser also works.

However, just as I already mentioned, the problem mainly depends upon its root cause. Multiple issues can cause a twitch black screen. Don’t worry, I have faced this issue, which forced me to do in-depth research on it.

After a bit of digging on different sources, I finally found the root cause and solved the problem. Luckily I am going to tell you the same methods that I have applied, and it worked for me.

So without any further ado, let’s not waste any more time and jump straight into the problem solution.

What Causes Twitch Black Screen?

Before we jump directly into the solution part, it is crucial to understand what causes this issue. Once we find the main cause of the problem solving, the twitch back screen can be a few clicks away.

After doing some research, I noticed that there are a few things that main cause this issue. The main causes of the twitch black screen are as follow

Incorrect DNS settings:

The first possible cause of the problem is your DNS settings. There are so many problems that are caused by this single misconfiguration. If your DNS settings are messed up, then you will more often see the twitch black screen.

Internet

However, solving it may not be as hard as it sounds. I am going to explain everything in detail, wait for a while.

Incorrect IP settings:

Apart from that DNS settings, every internet connection has its own IP address. This IP is crucial for so many different things. It is safer to say that every internet application on your device runs due to this IP setting.

Sometimes the IP settings are messed up due to viruses or due to personal errors. You might be doing some experiments on your computer and may end up ruining the settings. Therefore you will see the twitch black screen as a punishment.

Hardware Acceleration:

Sometimes hardware acceleration can also be the root cause of the twitch black screen. For those who don’t know a thing about hardware acceleration, it is an option that claims to improve your computer’s performance.

However, it forces so many apps and softwares to run scripts by force. This may sometimes conflict with the ongoing apps and softwares. Twitch sometimes don’t like these things, and as a result you may face the twitch black screen of death.

Buggy Browser:

We all are almost addicted to Google and its products. Nearly 80% of people use Google products on their devices, such as Gmail, chrome, and other stuff like that. However, some of their products get so much buggy, especially after the update.

I remember my chrome was not letting me log in to different accounts using the google account option. It was mainly a bug and I even updated my chrome, but the issue wasn’t resolved. I had to use Mozilla firefox then.

Anyways the main purpose behind this story is to tell you that your browser may sometimes have bugs and can cause the twitch black screen.

Sometimes due to Router:

Some routers are programmed by default to block javascripts. You might be wondering why do they do so? Some javascripts are too risky for your computer or it may simply degrade the performance therefore, some routers block several javascripts by default.

Router

It is possible that your router is picking the javascripts on twitch as false positive and it may block it. Therefore you may face black screen on twitch, which can be so annoying.

Can be a Server side issue:

We know servers are not invincible, and they can go through errors and malfunctions too sometimes. It is possible that the twitch server may go down sometimes, which causes the black screen issue.

To be very honest if this is the cause of your problem, then I am afraid there isn’t much you can do about it. The best you can do in such situations is to wait for the server to go live again. The server may also go down for maintenance sometimes, it isn’t necessary that there will always be bugs and issues.
